Well come to the end of the first year of broadcasting Sky national games and are seen by the world now. After the king say all been submitted in the first season, there was little or no complaint as the year was going on. But I wonder how broadcasting giant impact be measured?
I know there are figures about how many people world facts were looking at the various games. Of course, it gives us some information about how they are doing, but the question is what's most important is required by the GAA from all this? Are they seeking the international games of Gaelic games? We now know that our games are being played in many countries around the globe. But mostly Irish are playing.
I also know that many active people on Twitter during the season and foreigners writing about so fast, so hard and were dangerous wild Irishmen who played these games. But what comes out? GAA amounting to sell the rights to Sky and TV3 leaving aside? Is it right that some people can look at certain games as they did not pay Sky?
Sadly, I have no answers to these questions, but I am sure about one thing, which is that Fáilte Ireland should prevent massive effort to attract sports reporters to the country on the back of extensive coverage being made by Sky.
