A total of 190 thousand compared 020 foreign residents in Spain left the country in 2012 due to the lack of job prospects, a number that multiplies almost thirteen to 15 thousand 229 who took the same decision in 2011.
This is the second consecutive annual decline of this group and sets the foreign population at five million 546 thousand compared 238 citizens, 11.77 percent of the total population, highlighting the Ecuadorian descent, both in percentage and absolute terms.
This percentage confirms advanced by the INE data in April 2012 according to which was the first time that the Spanish population dropped from 1996, the first year for which statistical data.
In percentage terms, the communities that decreased in 2012 compared to 2011 are those of Ecuador, Peru, Argentina and Colombia, while in absolute terms are those of Ecuador, Romania, Colombia and Germany.
